The Plylow is manufactured from higher density memory foam than most pillows. This ensures that the gradual conduction of the hot or cool air is subtle and progressive. The multi-temp insert is designed to store the differential in temperature using a special gel material. This temperature differential is designed to be released slowly, so the surface of the pillow may take some time to heat or cool depending on its original temperature and the temperature difference of the insert to the outside environment. 

Plylow recommend that the outer pillowcase be used so that the child’s skin does not come in direct contact with memory foam or multi-temp insert.

Yes, but this may make the insert harder, and this will make the pillow surface less compressible. 

The temperature differential of the pillow will depend on the temperature of your child's room, and your method of heating/cooling. We completed testing in a room with a base temperature of 26 degrees celsius. After 30 minutes, the average temperature of the pillows containing a warm insert was 28.4 degrees celsius. The average temperature of the pillows with a cold insert was 22.2 degrees celsius.

The Plylow is designed to match the ratio of a child's height. This means, to them, the Plylow™ is the same relative scale as a full-size adult pillow.

The bamboo fibre pillow case provided with the pillow is machine washable. Small stains can be cleaned easily from memory foam, using a diluted detergent and dabbing gently on the stain using a cloth. However, the pillow itself is NOT machine washable. Please do not put the pillow in a washing machine as this will damage the pillow.

Babies are not supposed to have a pillow and should rest their heads on a flat, firm surface whilst sleeping. The age at which a child is ready to move to a pillow will differ slightly, but most children will be ready for a pillow from 18-24 months.
